Despacho is a bilingual English/Spanish website template for law firms and professional practices, built on Astro 7 and Tailwind 4. It is for firms whose clients often read only Spanish while the work happens in English — where the Spanish site cannot be an afterthought.
Built-in correctness: every word lives in typed TypeScript copy files, so a missing Spanish key is a compile error, and a build-time check fails if the two languages have different numbers of testimonials or team members. Practice areas are EN/ES Markdown pairs checked at build time for missing counterparts and drifted fields.
Sections: hero with a credential line, practice-areas grid, team bios, testimonials and recognition logos, and an intake form, plus translated thanks pages and a bilingual 404. Two themes — Chambers (warm, editorial, serif) and Consulta (calm, clean sans) — both contrast-audited to WCAG AA, switched with one config value.
Intake that is safe by default: the form posts straight to Formspree, Web3Forms, Basin, or Getform with zero JavaScript, ships with a disclaimer enabled in both languages, and comes with a compliance guide on what a contact form should and should not collect. The build fails on a placeholder or non-https form endpoint instead of silently dropping enquiries.
